The sound of the Sixties is returning to the West End in Sunny Afternoon, a new musical about the singer Ray Davies and the rise to stardom of iconic British rock group, The Kinks.
Sunny Afternoon opens at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London on 4 October, following a sold-out run at the Hampstead Theatre earlier this year.
The musical marks the 50th anniversary of the band’s first release and includes some of their classic songs – You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset and Lola. The cast includes John Dagleish, George Maguire, Ned Derrington and Adam Sopp as The Kinks.
