"I'm so excited and grateful to be joining the Strictly family! I’m always up for fun new challenges and this will be my biggest adventure yet! I’m going to put my heart and soul into this and can’t wait to get my dancing shoes on and show my Dad how it's really done! Bring on the glitz, glamour and sequins!" she said in a statement.
The star joins the likes of McFly's Tom Fletcher, Peep Show's Robert Webb, presenter AJ Odudu, Dragons' Den's Sara Davies, CBBC's Rhys Stephenson and 2012 Bake Off winner John Whaite.
BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker and Corrie's Katie McGlynn will also compete in the dancing contest.
This year's series will be returning to its full-length, with 15 celebrity contestants joining in total. Baker John will be the first star to be part of an all-male pairing, although his pro-dancer partner has yet to be confirmed.
Themed weeks, including Halloween and Movies weeks, will be back, but Blackpool Week will be cancelled for a second year due to the pandemic.
Anton Du Beke will be joining the judging panel, and fellow former pro-dancer Janette Manrara will co-host Strictly's spin-off BBC Two's It Takes Two with Rylan Clark.
