Glazed Cinnamon Rolls

Make these glazed cinnamon buns from scratch — try out this homemade dough recipe — for an end-of-brunch surprise.

Ingredients

Cinnamon Rolls

  • 1 ball homemade pizza dough
  • 3 Tbsp. plus 4 1/2 tsp. softened butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    1. Step 1With lightly floured rolling pin, roll 1 ball homemade dough to 15" by 12" rectangle. Spread with 3 tablespoons softened butter; sprinkle with light brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll tightly from long side to form log. Cut into 9 even pieces; place in greased 8" by 8" baking pan,cut sides up. Dollop top of each with 1/2 teaspoon softened butter.
    2. Step 2Bake at 375°F 20 minutes, covered, then uncover and bake another 15 to 20 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
    3. Step 3Mix confectioners’ sugar, milk and pinch salt until smooth.
    4. Step 4When rolls have cooled slightly, drizzle with glaze. Serve warm.
