Sizzling, lightly caramelized green beans flavored generously with garlic are a perfect culinary dream of texture, color and taste. You might find yourself whipping up a batch to eat as a snack instead of serving them as a side dish. Yellow wax beans, purple beans or a combination of the three color would be a lovely choice if you want to vary the ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb.

    green beans, stemmed 

  • 2 Tbsp.

    olive oil 

  • 1 tsp.

    minced garlic Sea Salt 

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • 1/4 cup

    freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    1. Step 1Preheat oven to 425°F. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil and set aside.
    2. Step 2In large bowl, toss together green beans, olive oil and garlic until well mixed.
    3. Step 3Season beans lightly with salt and pepper. 
    4. Step 4Spread beans on baking sheet and roast until tender and lightly browned, stirring once, about 10 min. Serve topped with Parmesan.
